Apple iPad Mini rumors heat up; probable to be launch this year’s end

Apple iPad ‘Mini’ Rumors Heats Up

Two viable reports suggesting that Apple is gearing up its supply chain partners in its preparation for a surprise debut of the highly anticipated and long-awaited smaller iPad version known as Apple iPad Mini.

The recent rumors of an Apple’s iPad “Mini” release are starting to get some convincing backing.

Apple is cranking up its component suppliers for mass production of the smaller-sized iPad Mini in September, WSJ’s MarketWatch reports this with fact from real people familiar with the matter. Bloomberg, on the other side also reported that a 7 or 8 inch smaller sized tablet is in full production and will be appearing in the tablet market by the end of this year.Apple iPad mini mass production activated by Apple

However, the new iPad mini as reported may not be proud of Retina display that regular-sized iPad 3 have.

The two WSJ’s two sources — who asked for anonymity — claim the the new small-sized tablet will “likely be released with a smaller screen size below 8-inches,” and when it is compared to the regular sized iPad 3 at 9.7-inch screen – they are no match. Since the launch of the iPad back then in 2010, there hasn’t been any other version with bigger screen upgrade except for the iPad 3 that comes with a high-definition Retina Display.

According to the report, Apple is reportedly working in partnership with LG Display for the iPad Mini screens, one of the sources reported, while the other claims that Apple had earlier signalled to its manufacturing partners to begin mass production on the smaller sized tablet.

This report follows the recent reports which states the iPad Mini would arrive any time in third quarter of the year – probably in the time for the Christmas holiday, and support recent

It follows earlier reports that the so-called “iPad Mini” would arrive in the third-quarter in time for the Christmas holiday, and support recent rumblings which confirms that the tech company is preparing to start a mass production of the much anticipated device with its production lines in activation modes.

Bloomberg recently reports the much anticipated “smaller and cheaper iPad” may be released by October this year, but it will lack the high-definition Retina display its mother device , iPad 3 boasts of.

Shaw Wu, an analyst at Sterne Agee & Leache said the “iPad mini” will likely share similar price tag with that of Amazon’s Kindle and Google Nexus 7 Tablet which I recently featured on Dohack last week in my guest post there.

In would be recalled that last week, Google lauched the 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet at $199 selling price — which is the same price for the android-powered Kindle Fire — and it will likely become the prime competitor to the Apple’s anticipated 7 inch iPad.

Microsoft’s recently launched Microsoft Surface tablet late in June wih 10.6-inch larger display, but its price has yet to be publicly announced. And Steven Sinofsky, Windows division president has confirmed that the device will be “priced the same like comparable tablets.”

However, Microsoft Surface is billed to debut in this year Christmas Holiday period as well.
