    Been using AVG free and it slowed down my phone. So I removed it. I just make sure that everything I install is from Google Play market and from trusted developers only.

    Thanks for sharing light on this topic.According to me Avast anti virus is the best for Android smart phones and the best thing about this software is that it does not slow down the processor unlike AVG.Also there are other anti virus software available but by far Avast is the best.

    It is very important to have good security measures for your Android smart phone.There are many anti virus protection apps available online and they can be quite useful.AVG anti virus is quite good and it has a pretty cool defense mechanism.Also there are many other security apps which also provide some excellent defense mechanisms.

    Security is the most important thing to consider for your Android smart phone.AVG is quite good but I have noticed that my phone becomes quite slow and it hangs quite a lot of time.I have also used Avast and i found it pretty cool, and better than AVG.Also there is no slow down in performance.

    Most apps that are just “malware detection” will fail in today’s market. Most of them need to provide diagnostic capabilities as well. To hash all your installed apps and ask a server somewhere if that particular SHA1 is “malware” wouldn’t do very well as a realistic product.

    Even though I’m using iOS on my iPod Touch, but this article is pretty useful. In my opinion, Android is slowly entering the same fate as Windows, due to its popularity and its openness. iOS, as far as I can tell, is very secure, unless if it is jailbroken, but if so, chances of getting infected is still low.

    Until long, security was only needed to we human beings. However, nowadays it is required by the laptops, computers, and smartphones as well. We do need to pay that extra bit for their security but is worth it. This saves our gadgets from unnecesary and harmful viruses. This is a smart move.

    “Avast” is the best antivirus for PC as well as Android. I prefer it most because it’s required minimum space and has good user interface.

    You forgot to include Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile for Android Not only does the free version contain protection from threats, but it also uses very little memory, updates and scans in the background, and also includes many features in the free version like Secure Web Browsing, Device Locate, Device Scream, Device Lock, Call & SMS blocking. You can download it from the Google Play Market.

    Hi Olawale, nice article. While using any AV on mobile ultimately will slow it down, so I tried all these solutions but the one i found used the least resources on my android device was AVAST.
