Even though I’m using iOS on my iPod Touch, but this article is pretty useful. In my opinion, Android is slowly entering the same fate as Windows, due to its popularity and its openness. iOS, as far as I can tell, is very secure, unless if it is jailbroken, but if so, chances of getting infected is still low.

Most apps that are just “malware detection” will fail in today’s market. Most of them need to provide diagnostic capabilities as well. To hash all your installed apps and ask a server somewhere if that particular SHA1 is “malware” wouldn’t do very well as a realistic product.

I tried almost all antivirus apps on my phone, but till now I can’t find any virus on my phone using these apps (but I can find viruses scanning same sd card from my PC using kapersky ). According to me, all android antivirus apps are useless. It will slow down your phone and waste your valuable phone memory.
