Some days ago, I wrote a post on an Ape shooting a gun and over 50 people came back from Facebook  to view the video on this blog apart from the readers here that shared and like the post, and the main concept of the post then is to show you that animals are brave and today is another interesting one, an Elephant Showing an Insightful Problem Solving Ability.

We human being normally believe that animals (except we human) can’t perform some tricks that are magnificent at a given time but many of us failed to realize that it is until we test their ability – that that is the time when we can really determine whether they are or not.

In learning, animals seems to be slower than human beings but they have the tendency of doing extra-ordinary tasks if they are tasked to do so(they normally behave like a programmed computer but performed wonders when tasked to do so). This fact is backed up with the latest blog post from my blogger friend, John Hunter who wrote a post titled: “Insightful Problem Solving in an Asian Elephant”.

<credit>

The posts is all about an elephant that performed awesomely because of the food that was kept in a bucket on a side of the tree in a compound where the animal was kept. The challenges that the elephant face is that -the food is on the tree and it would have to bring the bucket down first before the food can be extracted and the elephant shewed everyone present at the testing ground that, animals are brilliant because they can go a long way in making sure that their aims are achieved.

Watch the Youtube Video to know how it all happened.

What do you think about this video. Let’s hear each other below….

    That is awesome. We really should give animals more credit than we do.

    It has always been said that rational thinking is what differentiates between men and animals but interestingly there has been instances of animals showing insight. I never watched this video before so it’s something new and very interesting to me.
