Google Page Rank Update: Five Surprises to Expect and what you can do to solve them

Google Page Rank Update Surprises

Yesterday, was the first official Google Page rank update process for this year which was was first billed to have started last Friday, but it was kick-started yesterday. The update supposes to last throughout this week. And there are large amount of bloggers and webmasters who have looked up to this week for their website page rank status – majority of them are expecting a lift in page rank, while some on the other hands, are expecting Google to spare their blogs from being demoted to a lesser rank due to the fact that they aren’t doing what they are supposed to do.

Above all, in this article, I shall be sharing with you some of the basic things you can do to avoid page rank update axe. This tips will help you get your blog’s PR STATUS upgraded instead of being demoted even at this time when the process has already started. Also, I shall be sharing with you some surprises that could take place throughout this week, so that those things won’t happen to you unprepared.

Large amount of Blog Page Rank Status will be demoted

About 60% of blogs will get demoted due to one reason or the other. Some bloggers since the last PR update have engaged in some black hat SEO techniques to help their blogs get good page rank at all cost by faking it for Google. This is the time when Google will swing into action on those blogs. So, are you ready for such event? Hope your blog doesn’t have any means of black hat SEO promotion? I wonder why many bloggers engaged in black hat SEO when they already knew that Google will soon catch them.

Recently, Danny Sullivan from search engine land posted an article telling us of what Google has in plan for its update. According to that report, it shows that Google Panda update is in pipeline and it seems; the update would even become stricter than last year’s own; when it was first started. With this fact, it means that many of the blogs and websites out there could be under Google Panda update axe once again if they aren’t having quality and helpful contents.

Few Blogs will get Good PR Status (about 30% of them)

Among those blogs that would get ranked well this time, your blog could be there if you have traded the path by following the quality guidelines provided by Google for webmasters. If you haven’t read the Google Quality Guidelines before, kindly read it here.

Some Blogs Will Remain At Their Current PR Position

The last 10% of blogs and websites on the internet will still continue to stay on the same spot, not because they aren’t good for PR upgrade or because they are bad, but because that is what those blogs are worth in ranking. Google PR algorithm can’t be faked and even if it was eventually faked, it will soon boomerang on the ones who engaged in such action. So, if your blog does not get any page rank upgrade, kindly focus on building your blog for the next update and never do any late-time SEO and others to get it ranked at all costs. What is the essence of getting page rank and later lost it due to lack of blog’s authority on search engines.

I believe in one thing concerning Google Page rank that “getting good PR status should be a propeller for getting good traffic from search engines, especially Google. But some blogs out there aren’t getting what they are deserved to be getting, even with good and high page rank status.”

What to do for getting Good Pagerank?

In this kind of situation, there are many things that which you can just do now to make Google reconsider ranking your website well, even at this time when many consider it to be too late!

Follow the three steps highlighted below to convince Google Quality Rater to consider including your blog into the list of blogs or website to be ranked during this Google Page rank update period.

1.  Write more posts on your blog

You need to convince Google bots that your blog is always available for its searchers by writing more posts everyday throughout this week. Never let a day go without new contents on your blog. And avoid one thing along the line, duplicate contents. Don’t publish duplicate contents on your blog and never let your posts be too less – anything more than 400 words will do the magic with good key points and images.

2. Never engage in last-minute link exchanges

What many bloggers out there are currently engaging themselves in right now is random link exchanging activities, instead of focusing on quality and trust worthy links. Google knows most of these tricks and if you are trying to trick bots by getting more than what you’ve been getting within a particular period of time during this update, you might hurt yourself more.

Write more and do more social networking and get more traffic from search engines, that is all you needed to do for now!

3. Do more guest posts this week, but not too many

Guest posting on other website has proved to be more effective when it comes to getting good blogs to recommend your website for search engine bots to sees it as a good information resource place.

So engage yourself in more guest posts throughout this week on top performing technology blogs on the internet such as those I’ve recently listed on my blog. They are sure bet for helping you get good PR status. But you must know that majority of them might happen to reject your guest posts, don’t panic. Do more of ‘em and you’ll get some to publish on even at this tough time for many bloggers.
