iPhone 4S vs iPhone 5 Comparison Review: Design
Since Apple launched its first iPhone in June 2007, they have not changed the size of the screen. The iPhone 5, therefore, is the first Apple iPhone that has a modified screen size. The change of screen size is the first thing one notices when comparing the iPhone 5, with the iPhone 4S and all of the other iPhones released in the past. This latest device from Apple, the iPhone 5, has a taller screen that stands at 4-inches tall. The other iPhones have a 3.5-inch screen. Look at iPhone 5 specs and features.
For continuity reasons, Apple has been adamant about maintaining the screen sizes for its iPhones. However, by noting the success and growth rates that Android is enjoying with its top quality smart phones that keep increasing their screen sizes, Apple is now compelled to join the trend and increase the screen size for its devices. This means that the millions of apps designed to work on the 3.5-inch iPhones will not work on the iPhone 5. Please see iPhone 5 release date, specs, and rumour round-up.
Apple had to find a solution to this, which is to center apps meant for the 3.5-inch screen and grey out areas that are not used in the 4 inch screen. Look at iPhone 5: what you need to know to understand this better.
If you think about it, having a bigger screen means that the iPhone 5 is much bigger that the iPhone 4S. The actual measurements of the iPhone 4S are (HxWxD) 115.2 x 58.66 x 9.3 mm. Measurements of the new iPhone 5 are 123.6 x 58.6 x 7.6. The iPhone 5 has grown in height but has reduced its depth; it is definitely much slimmer.
Another impressive feature of iPhone 5 is that it is lighter. It weighs a mere 112g while the iPhone 4S weighs 140g. This means that the iPhone 5 is 18% thinner than the iPhone 4S, and it is 20% lighter that the iPhone 4S. As of now, the iPhone 5 is listed as the thinnest smartphone in the world.

iPhone 4S vs iPhone 5 Comparison review: Processor
The processor is one of the most important upgrades of the iPhone 5. Unfortunately, this upgrade is often overlooked. The iPhone 5 uses a new A6 chip, while its predecessor, iPhone 4S, uses a dual-core Apple A5 chip.
According to Apple, the new A6 chip used in the iPhone 5 is two times faster than the dual-core chip found in the iPhone 4S. Due to this, the A6 chip is suitable for CPU functions. It also has a great graphics performance that is two times greater than that of the dual-core Apple A5 chip.
The A6 chip found in the iPhone is 5 22% smaller that the dual-core Apple A5 chip. It is, however, more efficient than that of the iPhone 4S. Apple gave an explanation when asked about the battery performance of the iPhone 5, since it is much smaller. Because of the A6 chip, the iPhone 5 has a battery whose performance is similar to that one of the iPhone 4S, despite the fact that it is much smaller.

iPhone 4S vs iPhone 5 Comparison Review: Storage
People had high hopes that Apple would launch a device that has new extra-large storage options. This expectation has yet to become a reality.
Apple has maintained the storage size of the iPhone 4S through to the iPhone 5. The lowest model of the iPhone 5 has a storage capacity of 16GB. Other storage capacities are 32GB and 64GB. The model with a 16GB storage capacity has an original tag price of $525. This price increases by $100 for each increase in storage capacity option, that is, a model with a storage capacity of $32GB goes for $625.
Apple is yet to release a device that has an expandable memory storage, or just an expandable memory slot. This feature is common in most of the Android smartphones. The next phone, possibly the iOS 6, should have this feature. Combine this with the iCloud app and customers will have extra storage on their iPhone 5.

iPhone 5 vs iPhone 4S Comparison Review: Camera
The race of smartphone megapixel is no longer in existence. Manufacturers can no longer convince customers that the number of megapixels is what determines the quality of pictures that a camera takes. This explains why the iPhone 5 camera has 8Mp, the same as that of iPhone 4S.
However, the iPhone 5 camera is 25% smaller than that of the iPhone 4S. Again, the iPhone 5 camera has a few extra features that make it better. The new features of the camera in iPhone 5 are a hybrid IR filter, a very fast f/2.4 aperture, and a five element sapphire crystal lens.
Further, the iPhone 5 camera is structured with a dynamic low-light mode. This means that it works better when used in places with little light. Finally, this camera is 40% faster when taking photos.

The iPhone 5 has an outstanding software and OS. It comes with Apple’s new iOS 6 operating system, which has 200 features. The iPhone 5 benefits greatly from this new OS.
