Samsung Galaxy S III Mini becomes official

The Samsung Galaxy S III was a big bang for Samsung when it released, with its bold wide screen, its looks so fascinating and admired by everybody, the features incorporated by Samsung into the Galaxy S III was enough to set a standard for competetors. After the smartphone became a success and has rolled the market for certain months, Samsung came out with an idea of the Samsung Galaxy S III mini.

Most people thought this will be a very good idea, while some thought the idea was very bad. Now Samsung made its decision and went into production of the smaller version of the Galaxy S III called Samsung Galaxy S III mini.

How acceptable will the Samsung Galaxy S III mini be?

When Samsung was coming with this product, so many people thought Samsung will be replicating the character of the original S III into this smaller device, but unfortunately, it seems Samsung has disappointed its present and prospective customers with this device. The Samsung Galaxy S III mini was not really what it was thought it will be.

The Samsung Galaxy S III mini arrives with a Super AMOLED display which is 4-inch in size having a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, and running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The mini device is powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor having TouchWiz with Google Now. A triband HSPA, quadband GSM/EDGE as well as Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, The Samsung Galaxy S III mini has  Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS and GLONASS support, an FM radio for news and entertainment together with digital compass, Gyroscope, Proximity and Accelerometer as sensors.

The camera on the Samsung Galaxy S III mini is 5 MP unlike the 8 MP in the original Samsung Galaxy S III.

The Samsung Galaxy S III mini is accorded with a 4 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M color WVGA, having a resolution that resembles 480 x 800 pixels. The camera is 5 MP in quality and it features; autofocus, face and smile detection, and able to shoot video at 720p@30fps (1280 x 720) with TouchWiz UX.

The Samsung Galaxy S III mini is powered a 1 GHz dual core processor along with Mali-400MP GPU supported by a 1 GB RAM running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The internal storage is optional, 8 GB and 16 GB with a microSD slot to upgrade storage up to 32 GB.

The connectivity option on the  Samsung Galaxy S III mini includes; Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, stereo Bluetooth 4.0, standard microUSB port, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, stereo FM radio with RDS, NFC while the network includes; GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS 900/2100 MHz, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps.

Some of the sensors packaged on the Samsung Galaxy S III mini are; Gyro, Proximity, Accelerometer and Compass. Samsung empowered the S III mini device with a 1, 500mAh battery.

The dimension of the Samsung Galaxy S III mini is 121.55 x 63 x 9.85 mm having a weight of 111.5g.

The device will be available on its mart as confirmed by Vodafone UK, while Clove has tagged the SIM-free version at £298 or €370, or $480.
