5 Reasons Why Android Beats the Apple’s Latest iPhone 5

Google Android vs Apple iPhone logo

Why Android beats iPhone 5

As it is known to almost everybody, android is a mobile device that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications.  Through this devise, different smart phones are being developed. If you haven’t known, apple has released their new iPhone 5 phone model. Even though they have modified it by adding better features when you compare to iPhone 4S, it is still lagging behind. The truth of the matter is that when it comes to technology, android is better than iOS smartphones.Google Android vs Apple iPhone logo

Yes it is true that iPhone 5 has a lager screen and a faster motherboard when you compare to iPhone 4S, that everyone was waiting for. But you have to agree they are late to release and create it. Here are the advantages of androids over the iPhone 5.

The screen

As you know, the new iPhone 5 will have a 4-inch display. However, when you look at the smartphone screen race, android has taken the lead because droid RAZR M has 4.3 inch and galaxy S3 has 4.8-inch and the last one which is galaxy note 2 is the largest with 5.5-inch screen.

Many people ask why they need a large screen. Well, large screens make watching videos more exiting, texting more easier as well as to read and it makes the keys on your screen more easily to target with your figure.

Custom widgets on your home screen

It is good that now the screen has been created to be larger in the new iPhone 5. This makes it easier for you to see most of your application icons on your screen without scrolling over. However, when you look at your android phone, you will have more on your screen than static application. In other words, you will have the entire screen where you can fill with interactive widgets.

The third-party software keyboards

IPhone 5, support iOS 6 keyboard only. This means that you can’t use a third party keyboard. However, when it comes to android phones, it can support any third party keyboard that you feel to use.

Attaching any files to your email

For those users who use iPhone will agree with this, that iPhone does not have the ability to attach any files of your email account. However, this cannot be said on iPhone 5 because it model gives you the option to attach only videos and images only. The previous version of iPhone does not have the option where you can attach files to your mail and send. What if you want to attach send your employer some important details? However, when it comes to windows, Mac OS and android, you can attach any file that you want to send via email.

PC visible file system

Have you ever tried connecting your android devise to your computer? You will get all your files and folders in there as you use your storage disk D. but when it comes to iPhone, you will only have access to digital camera (DCIM) folder so that you can drag and drop pictures only.

Summary

Through the above points, it is clear that android smart phones are quite ahead from the iPhone.

The fact that one cannot attach files to emails with my iPad is really annoying but I guess Apple does that for security reasons. Great article there.

Why do they have to? Even a common blackberry device can attach a lot of files as email attachment. I believe they’d find a solution to that asap.

Thanks bro for taking time to comment on TechAtLast.

I guess it depends if you prefer the locked down style of the iPhone or not. Sounds crazy, but some people prefer to have less options. The iPhone to its merit is very intuitive and user friendly in regard to simplicity of use and presentation.
Apple will always have its loyal following (personally I’m not one) but there is much more funcionality, as your articler points out, from Android as well as other operating systmes. Will be interesting to see how Windows phone compares too.

    It’s –
    1. Open source.
    2. Free.
    3. Finished maps app.
    4. Multiple devices supported.
    5. Apps easily programmable.?

What else could someone ask for? Android is the best mobile OS out there.

Many people do believe android OS is more effective than the iPhone iOS because of its features, I do agree with that claim, but maybe because I am not a fan of Apple 🙂

Android operating system is awesome and I think it is giving a good competion to apple operating system.Android OS is quite effective and it has appealed positively to many users.I hope Apple does some work on the screen size and on the latest Apple map application.Large screen size would be better for watching music videos or movies and playing games.

Yes, Apple need to work on that but I don’t think the Cupertino-based technology giant is ready to do such, it is part of Apple’s aim to decrease screen size as easy as it whereas, users need a larger screen size. But if they can, it will help alot 🙂

See, the Apple iPhone might not offer so much customization as compared to other Android devices but one thing everyone has to agree is that after 2-3 months we mostly use our phone for calenders, mails and other useful selective apps. Very few still uses SPB Shell 3D and keeps experimenting with fancy widgets months after buying a phone. In this context I think the iPhone does a brilliant job. It does best at the primary reasons which a phone is used for.

Apple iPhones are great phones but they have some limits if you don’t admit that! Whereas, android phones also comes with some of the best and outstanding features ever but they do have limits when compared to iPhones.

    Hi Olawale,
How are you?! One of the best thing.. Android is an open source which allows to open many channels for small business community. In recent time lot many applications has been created for multiple device support which provides great revenue for small business players. Users and techno geeks friendly, free and importantly more software and hardware portability are key things.

We know..Apple have their own world and totally different when consider business from it. Thanks

I love Android Operating system and the widgets update was quiet pleasing.I wish that apple does some work on the screen sizes because larger screens would be quiet useful for users who enjoy watching movies on their cell phone. The Apple map application was quiet unsatisfactory and i prefer the google map application because apple map was quiet lagging and the 3D effect which i expected was also not satisfactory enough. Also Apple has not done any appealing work on the widgets in their upgrade.

Yeah, sure android is now the flourished o/s in the market. Now most of the individuals are moving towards phablet rather than tablet, due to portability issues. However you have mentioned some good points that differentiates both of them.

    Hi Olawale,
You have done a good job, Android is so far the best mobile technology and its very ahead of iPhone. iPhone 5 does not have many features as in Samsung Galaxy 4. I appreciate your research and efforts in writing such an informative article.
