Windows RT Samsung ATIV Tablet Featured at the Berlin IFA trade fair

As the ATIV S Smartphone unveils, Samsung also showcased another Window device which it named Samsung ATIV Tab. The new tablet runs on Window RT OS, a variant of the Microsoft Windows OS for the ARM-based chips. The Samsung ATIV tab is packed with a 10.1-inch LCD display with a pixel resolution on 1366 x 768. The device features a microSD card and is Internet Explorer 10 supported. The dimension of the Samsung ATIV tablet is 265.8 x 168.1 x 8.9mm and weighs 570g. Along with the Samsung ATIV S smartphone, the Samsung ATIV tab was also presented at the 2012 IFA in Berlin.

The Samsung ATIV Tab carries a number of highly enhanced specifications; let’s have a little gist about them.

Like already said before, the Samsung ATIV Tablet comes with a 10.1-inches LCD Multi-Touch capacitive display resembling 1366 x 768 pixel display resolution having a resolution density 155 ppi provided with a light sensor. The weight of the device is 570g (20.11 oz). It is powered by a 1500 MHz Dual core Processor, also having a graphics processor. The internal storage on the Samsung ATIV Tab is has built in RAM of 2048 MB as well as an internal memory of  32 GB expandable to 64 GB with a microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC.

Equipped with a 5 megapixels rear-facing primary camera, the Samsung ATIV Tab has some camera features that includes: Geo-tagging, LED flash, Auto focus, it also has a front facing camera of 1.9 MP that can be used for video calling on 1280 x 720 (720p HD). The connectivity options on the Samsung ATIV Tab are; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/a  Bluetooth v4.0, USB 2.0 connector along with microUSB connector, micro HDMI, Computer and OTA sync, NFC support etc.

Some of the sensors found on the Samsung ATIV Tab are; Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass, and others. The device is also featured with Voice command and voice recording and comes with a 8200 mAh battery the backup boast to be long lasting.

Other features on the Samsung ATIV Tab includes; Flight mode, Silent mode, Speakerphone, and built in social services such as Facebook, Twitter etc.
