Apple is cooking something up differently!
Time
With the release of the new iPad, Apple has just released the time that they will be opening their doors, and which countries will be carrying the new iPad on launch day. Apple just announced that it will be opening its doors early on Friday at 8:00 A.M. which is one to two hours earlier than expected.
Place
Apple also released the location of the countries that it will be selling the iPad in. These countries are U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, U.K., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Apple will release the new iPad in an additional 25 countries on March 23rd. Stores other than official Apple stores will also be releasing the new iPad Friday. These stores include Radio Shack, Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, and Sams Club. Also, some mobile carriers will be stocking the 4G model including Verizon and AT&T.
The additional countries that will be receiving the iPad on March 23rd include; Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, Sweden, Austria, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and The Netherlands.
Online Ordering
Do not expect to be able to order online through Apple however. Apple has run out of stock to be able to deliver the new iPad this week. Expected wait time will be approximately two to three weeks in almost every country. Also not available is a way to reserve a new iPad for yourself. Unfortunately Apple has not created a reservation system for this model, so you will simply have to hit the stores, or wait to order it online.
On the good side, if you do purchase a beautiful new iPad directly through apple, you will be treated to free set-up including all the usual benefits to apple customers such as setting up accounts and the popular “find my iphone/ipad “app.
In Conclusion
The highly touted iPad iOS 5.1 will have the option of running the lightning fast 4G LTE radio. They will also include the incredibly helpful icloud connectivity, AirPlay functionality, voice dictation, dual core A-5X CPU, and an astonishing 3 million pixels.
The newest version of the iPad will start at $499 for the most basic 16 GB wifi model and $629 for the 16 GB wifi+4G model. On the upper end of the pricing spectrum, it will cost you $699 for the 64 GB wifi model while the most expensive model is priced at $829 for 64 GB and wifi+4G. Just make sure you get in-line early for the new release.
