Apple has officially announced the release of its software version, iOS 5.1 Beta 3 for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G, iPad 2 and the iPad.

The new software comes as a build 9B5141a with improvements and fixes to some bugs in the previous versions. In this version, there is an option that can let you toggle on and off the 3GG connection which is certain in helping you reduce the battery life of your device – just use the “Enable 3G” toggle option in the iPhone 4S to enable or disable your 3G network.

Before, Apple has removed the toggle option from the iPhone when it releases iOS 5 but has now add the feature back again with the release of version 3 beta iOS 5.1 beta 3.

With this inclusion, iPhone 4S users can now toggle off and on their 3G network to save power and make the device work effectively. can use this toggle.

If you want to use this feature on your iPhone 4S device, you will need to first tap the “Settings” option and select “Network”. After that, you can see the option that says “Enable 3G” toggle. The use the toggel option to enable or disable the 3G network.

iOS 5.1 Beta 3However, the iOS 5.1 Beta 3 is only available for registered Apple developers. If you are a member of the iOS Enterprise Program or the iPhone Standard Developer, that means you can easily join the Apple Developer Connection to download this  iOS 5.1. beta version.

Meanwhile, the first beta version of the iOS 5.1 software was released back then on 28th November last year and the software gives iPhone developers limited access to Siri integration, and in wake of that, Apple released version 5.1 beta 2 late last year, Dec 12th – which comes with new feature that focus on photo management in the Photo Stream. That version allows users to delete pictures that were take with their iOS devices from the photo stream and others.

About the size of the latest version, according to the update release, iOS 5.1 Beta 3 is 76.3 MB of size and you can easily download it through Over The Air update. And to do that, you will need to tap on the “Settings” and then navigate to “General” tab on your device. Select “Software Update”.

PS: You must have an Apple Developer Account before you can download iOS 5.1 Beta 3 because, like I said earlier on that only registered users can access it.
