It is true that a Cat can never be compared to a Tiger, but sometimes you don’t have to underrate.
The Nokia Lumia 920 is an ambassador of the Microsoft Windows Phone 8 and a big fish for the Finnish phone maker. Via few researches of functionality and features, the smartphone could really stand as a competition to the strong brands such as the Apple iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Analyzing few features such speed, screen resolution, battery power and camera, the Lumia 920 really has something to offer that even surpasses few features from the big guys.
Design
The Samsung Galaxy 4 takes up the design of its predecessor S3, the only upgrade is the plastic back that pops when you feel like replacing the battery. The iPhone 5 also followed the previous design pattern like the iPhone 4S while Nokia also worked according to the design of its flagship Lumia 800 to make the Lumia 920. The new Nokia Lumia comes in flamboyant colors.
Display
Nokia made a 4.5 inch screen with resolution 1280 x 768 on the Lumia 920 while the Samsung Galaxy S4 takes up the super AMOLED full HD 5 inch screen with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution having Gorilla Glass 3. Apple gave the iPhone 5 a 4 inch widescreen multi-touch with Retina display. The Lumia is standing in between in terms of display and screen size.

Processor Speed
The Apple A6 chip on the iPhone 5 was analyzed to an equivalent of 1.2 GHz dual core processor, the Nokia Lumia 920 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip 1.5 GHz dual core. The Galaxy S4 beat them all, the UK version is powered by a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, and other markets will be using a whoop octa-core processor on the Samsung new product. For real, you can compare a speed of 8km/hr to 2km/hr, but the Lumia stand in between still beating the Apple iPhone 5 for speed.
Operating system
Samsung has signed up for Android and the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is a pretty good operating system. The iPhone 5 carries on its iOS. The Windows Phone 8 is really an operating system that offers great features, the only problem is how it could speed up to capture the already established iOS and Android brand. Apple is just eating from its brand it has already built.
Camera
The Galaxy S4 picks up a 13 MP camera supporting full HD 1080p video capture. Nokia went up to 8.7 MP with optics instead of electronic stabilization, supports auto focus, LED flash and HD video capture. iPhone 5 is just 8MP although packs a lot of features like its unique panorama mode. You can really see that the big guys just has a pose on their brand names, Nokia should not be underrated with the Lumia 920.

Battery
The removable Galaxy S4 battery has a power of 2600mAh with standby of 370hours while the non removable Lumia 920 comes with 2000mAh power that will stand-by for 400 hours. iPhone 5 is packed with a Li-Po of 1440mAh with able to spend 225hours on stand-by.
Looking through the overall features, the Nokia Lumia 920 is a hot cake and has a place to stand with the big competitors and cannot be underestimated.

A very nice comparisons between difference between iPhone, Nokia & Samsung in different fields. As the time passes we all know that Samsung is really giving a very tough competition to apples in the smartphone market.
With Microsoft’s new launch through Nokia let’s see what’s the future of Windows in mobile market against Android and i OS.
keep sharing!!!
Thanks for your contribution. It gives us a big encouragement.
Samsung Galaxy S4 is the best. I like the new features and the design. LOLed after watching the video 🙂
The ads is funny.
Thanks.
Apple is best. No one can reach at that position in which apple stand. Apple product are my best choice..Apple is Best and will be the best in Future also..
The competitors are making people understand that Apple are selling brand name and not the best in terms of features. Apple needs to restrategise to stay at the top. Android makers are now catching up if you can watch the trend.
Thanks for your contribution.
A really interesting article but i don’t know why people still insist on comparing the iphone 5 to the recently release phones like the s4 and others it won’t be fair cause the iphone hardware is almost a year old.
The iPhone 5 is not up to a year, Apple won’t be releasing any iPhone until later in the year, therefore, the Galaxy S4 has to rival with the present iPhone in the market. Many are yet to buy a smartphone, articles of this kind helps in making good decisions.
Thanks for this contribution.
Samsung Galaxy S4 is much better than Nokia Lumia. It has better screen, faster processor, twice more RAM. Android has more apps and games. Nokia Lumia 920 has superior build quality and camera.
Yea, Nokia is coming up. If it had been using Windows or Android on its devices, it could have gone far in more than this in the competition.
Good contribution Plaban.
I don’t know why but I don’t like iPhones… Galaxy S4 is one of the most smart phone that I ever see 🙂
I LOVE BOTH PHONE BRANDS 🙂
Thanks Cullin for commenting on TechAtLast 🙂
All the shots in the article were taken in Auto mode, so that gives you a good idea of how the phones perform in that mode.
In terms of best auto mode performance in low light (and flash) I think the HTC One would be the one to look at. Apart from the camera it is also a lovely phone. You have to live with the low resolution though (which is not a problem if you use your photos mainly for sharing and social media etc).
