The Nokia Lumia 920 is an ambassador of the Microsoft Windows Phone 8 and a big fish for the Finnish phone maker. Via few researches of functionality and features, the smartphone could really stand as a competition to the strong brands such as the Apple iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy 4 takes up the design of its predecessor S3, the only upgrade is the plastic back that pops when you feel like replacing the battery. The iPhone 5 also followed the previous design pattern like the iPhone 4S while Nokia also worked according to the design of its flagship Lumia 800 to make the Lumia 920. The new Nokia Lumia comes in flamboyant colors.

 Display

Nokia made a 4.5 inch screen with resolution 1280 x 768 on the Lumia 920 while the Samsung Galaxy S4 takes up the super AMOLED full HD 5 inch screen with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution having Gorilla Glass 3. Apple gave the iPhone 5 a 4 inch widescreen multi-touch with Retina display. The Lumia is standing in between in terms of display and screen size.

Processor Speed

The Apple A6 chip on the iPhone 5 was analyzed to an equivalent of 1.2 GHz dual core processor, the Nokia Lumia 920 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip 1.5 GHz dual core. The Galaxy S4 beat them all, the UK version is powered by a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, and other markets will be using a whoop octa-core processor on the Samsung new product. For real, you can compare a speed of 8km/hr to 2km/hr, but the Lumia stand in between still beating the Apple iPhone 5 for speed.

Operating system

Samsung has signed up for Android and the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is a pretty good operating system. The iPhone 5 carries on its iOS. The Windows Phone 8 is really an operating system that offers great features, the only problem is how it could speed up to capture the already established iOS and Android brand. Apple is just eating from its brand it has already built.

Camera

The Galaxy S4 picks up a 13 MP camera supporting full HD 1080p video capture. Nokia went up to 8.7 MP with optics instead of electronic stabilization, supports auto focus, LED flash and HD video capture. iPhone 5 is just 8MP although packs a lot of features like its unique panorama mode. You can really see that the big guys just has a pose on their brand names, Nokia should not be underrated with the Lumia 920.
