BlackBerry Curve 9300 Available on Prepaid at TELUS

TELUS, a national telecommunications company situated in Canada, serving people in many telecommunication products areas ranging from providing voice and internet access, entertainment and many more has decided to launch the BlackBerry Curve 9300 in Canada on April 2, 2012.

The BlackBerry Curve 9300 comes with a 2.46 inches TFT display with a display resolution of 320 x 240 pixels along with a ~163 ppi pixel density. BlackBerry Curve 9300 display has 65K colors and it comes with a Touch-sensitive optical trackpad.

When we’re talking of connectivity option, the device works on GSM and HSDPA network as stated below:

  • GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 2G network
  • HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
  • HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100 2G network

It currently runs on the previous BlackBerry 5.0 Operating System (and can be upgraded to v6.0 at any time). This smartphone comes with a 2 Megapixel rear-facing primary camera that features a camera resolution of 1600 × 1200 pixels along with ability to record awesome videos, and video playing capacity.

It comes with an internal memory storage capacity of 256 MB RAM and has 256 MB ROM. And the phone is compatible with microSD card slot, expandable to 32GB

Connectivity, this phone comes with various connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Class 10 GPRS (32 – 48 kbps), Class 10 EDGE (236.8 kbps), UMA (carrier dependent), Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP connectivity, HSDPA and also have a microUSB v2.0 connector. In terms of alert types, this device has been facilitated with several alert types such as Polyphonic ringtones, Vibration, and MP3 ringtones along with a loudspeaker, dedicated music keys and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Apart from all the aforementioned features, this blackberry curve smartphone also comes with various networking and communication features such as SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email and Instant Messaging, GPS support, BlackBerry Maps, HTML browser, Organizer, Voice memo/dial and Predictive text input.

It comes with supports for many music playback formats such as MP3, eAAC+, WMA, WAV and FLAC player audio formats and video playback formats such as MP4, H.263, H.264 and WMV player.

The new Blackberry Curve 9300 Smartphone is proudly powered with a Li-Ion 1150 mAh standard battery that ensures longer lasting battery life with standby time up to 456 h for 2G ones and up to 348 h for 3G network, It has a talk time of up to 4 h 30 min for 2G models and up to 5 h 30 min for 3G network model along with a music playing time of up to 29 hours. Its dimension is 109 x 60 x 13.9 mm and it weighs 104 g.
