Google Direct Connect Hooks Search and Google+ Pages Together

Google has just rolled out a new feature that is called Direct Connect. The service which will make it very simple for users to find and follow different brands on Google+ through Google Search with the use of Google +1 social button.Google+ Brand Pages Angry Birds

It works in a dead simple way, all what you have to do is to type the sign and then followed by the brand or the business name you want to search for. Let’s say that a user wants to follow a company name, Honda for example, the person would just type “+Honda” in the Google search box and then wait for the result of the search. This kind of search query will send you directly to the Honda page on Google+ and even if you enter the search query and hit enter, you will be sent directly to the official page for Honda on Google plus instead of wasting your time on clicking links on Google page.

Direct Connect replaces the function of the “+” feature in Google Search before the new one recently changed for the purpose. Before, this feature works for all searches whereby the user has to enter the plus sign before all search queries they have to make before they can get their desired result. However, that feature had been retired last month by Google, likely in expectation of Direct Connect’s launch.

Direct Connect presents Google+ Brand pages higher chances over all Facebook Pages, and Twitter profiles and even branded websites. The link to your G+ page will appear below the search box, that means it is very essential because it acts like a search result above the search engine page. This means that website owners and bloggers now need to be active on the Google+ platform for them to enjoy the benefits this feature offers.

Google is currently testing Direct Connect with some of its properties and a limited set of partners such as (+Toyota+Google, +YouTube, etc.) but Google says it will roll out the feature to other brands very soon.
