It is no longer news that the two iPhone hacker’s team, the iPhone Dev Team (comprises of P0sixninja, also known as Joshua Hill) and Chronic Dev team has been working hard for some months now on untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 after they released the iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak.
P0sixninja promises untethered jailbreak
Recently, we covered here that Chromic Dev Team member known as Pod2G posted a video on his blog to share his iPhone 4S untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1. And now we can authoritatively inform you that the untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 will soon be released within few days, confirmed by P0sixninja – Joshua Hill.
Pod2G, has recently said that he was able to fix the sandbox errors which are responsible in preventing him from releasing untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2. With the support of his fellow hacker such as MuscleNerd, Saurik, and planetbeing – he was able to fix the error.
pod2G has already confirmed that the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S & iPad 2 will be released soon.
Recently iPhone Dev Team has released PwnageTool 5.0.1, Redsn0w 0.9.10b1 and Chronic Dev team has also released Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untether to be useful as jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 untethered. However, that jailbreak was compatible with the Apple iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, and the iPad running iOS 5.0.1. But it wasn’t compatible with iPhone 4S and the iPad 2.
You can now jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 Untethered on iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, the iPad 1 using PwnageTool 5.0.1 or you can use Redsn0w 0.9.10b1 to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 untethered on your iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G, and iPad 1.
In the meantime, iPhone hacker team, iPhone Dev Team recently, will soon release a new version of the Redsn0wo and the PwnageTool within the next few days to jailbreak iPhone 4S and the iPad 2 untethered.
