6 Methods to Wipe Blackberry Curve Data
Now we will see how data can be wiped out from Blackberry Curve. Actually there seven ways you can accomplish your need. I am going to explain those one by one.
1. Wipe Handheld Option
To delete all data from the Blackberry Curve, perform the following steps:
- On the Home Screen navigate to Options
- Click on Security Options
- Select General Settings
- Display the Menu
- Click on Wipe Handheld and then Continue

- Lock your phone
- Type an incorrect password for ten times
- If prompted, type blackberry

3. Use the application loader tool to delete all data

- Connect your phone to the Computer
- Open the Blackberry Desktop Software, and then type the password for your phone
- Double-click on Application Loader, and then click Next.
- Type the password of your phone and click Next on the Device Security Password screen
- Click Next on the Device Application Selection screen
- On the Completion of Application Loader Wizard screen, once click you click on Advanced, Device Data Preservation screen will be shown.
- Check the Erase all application data checkbox, and then click Next to delete all application data from your phone
- Select “do not automatically backup and restore the device application data during the loading process” and then click Next.
- Click Finish to reset your phone.
This entire process may take several minutes to complete.
4. Clear all application databases
To delete all data from the Blackberry Curve, perform the following steps:
- Connect your phone to the computer.
- Open the Blackberry Desktop Software, and then type the password for your phone
- Double-click on Backup and Restore, and then click Advanced.
- Press and hold the Shift key while selecting all the databases in the Handheld Databases list box
- Click Clear
- Click OK on the warning window to delete all application databases of your phone
5. Type an incorrect password in the application loader tool
To delete all data from the Blackberry Curve, perform the following steps:
- Connect your phone to the computer
- Open the BlackBerry Desktop Software, and then type the password for your phone
- Select the Device menu, and then click Delete Data
- Click Delete
6. Use loader.exe to reset to factory
To delete all data from the Blackberry Curve, perform the following steps:
- Connect your phone to the computer.
- On the computer, click Start >Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt. (Note: For Windows Vista and Windows 7, right-click and run as Administrator.)
- On a 32 bit installation of Windows navigate to:
C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionAppLoader
On a 64 bit installation of Windows navigate to:
C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesResearch In MotionAppLoader
Then press ENTER
- Type loader.exe /resettofactory and press ENTER.
Caution: This option will not remove all the installed applications.
