It now shows that human beign can now turns to a touch screens sooner or later if the news emerging concerning Microsoft’s new invention, OmniTouch, is to become a reality.
Recently, Microsoft Research team at the UIST 2012 symposium in Santa Barbara, CA, unveiled something they call OmniTouch, a device which uses a laser-based pico projector and a camera with depth-sensing capabilities to turn any object or surface into a tourch screen — even the human body.

“Hrvoje Benko from the Microsoft’s Natural Interaction Research group said the team ‘wanted to capitalize on the tremendous surface area the real world provides. The device would basically turn notebooks, tables, palms and walls into a touch screen surface.”
